Isn’t it gorgeous, thanks to website designers Shauna Kaendo and Mike Heacock and photos by Amy Pelletier, husband Ron, daughter Marisa and friend Cathy Main. Please enjoy, and I’d love to hear what you think about it.
Vancouver Museum Show...
February 7 - April 6, 2008
This was a group show, juried by the Crafts Association of BC, at the Vanouver Museum. It included about 80 BC artists and artisans representing clay, fibre, metal, paper, wood, glass and mixed media. What a diverse and fascinating show. I felt like an Oscar winner to be in such accomplished company. Thanks to the CABC and the Van. Museum for this opportunity.

Silkscreen Workshop
September 27, 2007
As usual, every year I attend a workshop or two at the annual Maiwa Textile Symposium in Vancouver, BC. This year, I attended a 2 day workshop on Silkscreening taught by Hilary Young, and fell in love with the technique of improvisational silkscreening. Here are some of my samples that I produced using materials like lace, netting and cheesecloth. Definitely an addictive process. Well, looks like I have to go shopping again for more art supplies. Being a mixed media artist just means having lots of different kinds of art supplies . . .

I was honored to be chosen by a jury at the Crafts Association of BC to have a solo show at the Crafthouse Gallery on Granville Island, Vancouver, BC. The size of the pieces were specifically designed to fit on the gorgeous triangular shelves of the gallery space. Lots of friends and family came to the Openng night to celebrate with me the actualizing of an important personal goal. Yay! I feel like an artist again. Thank you to CABC staff and volunteers and husband, Ron, and friend, Bev (for the rocks), for their assistance.
